We had had quite a lot of rain during the week and with the dry spell weeks before the water just sat on the surface. This wasn't helped by constant rain during Friday afternoon and evening.

This was the condition of our pitch after we had packed away our tent on the Saturday morning. I feel very sorry for the unlucky campers who followed us onto this pitch.

Trawsdir campsite is in Llanaber and I just had to stop on our way home to take this wonderful view that you can see every time you travel from Barmouth to Trawsdir.

A drive into Corris to go underground at King Arthur's Labyrinth.

Michelle disappeared while on the walk back from Dinas Oleu, I found her inside St.John's Church. She had taken my camera with her and these photographs are the result.

I think the detail inside this church is wonderful and well worth a visit.

Both RNLI Lifeboats from Barmouth and an RAF Sea King Helicopter, practice their rescue skills within view of our campsite.

Hi Gear Mojave 5 from Go Outdoors. This tent is identical to the Gelert Lakesbury 5 but has been rebranded Hi Gear for Go Outdoors.

A walk up Dinas Oleu, the hill behind Barmouth. This walk gave us some breathtaking views of Barmouth and Cardigan Bay.

An evening on the beach at Tal-y-bont. Here we released several Chinese Lanterns in memory of our loved ones.

A day on Barmouth Beach

A short walk from Dolgoch Station on the Talyllyn Railway and you come to the amazing Dolgoch Waterfalls.

A day out on the Trains, from Barmouth to Tywyn with Arriva trains Wales and then a short walk to the Talyllyn Railway and a journey from Tywyn Wharf to Nant Gwernol with a stop on the return at Dolgoch to view the amazing waterfalls (see separate collection).

Our first camping holiday of the year and Barmouth was the destination. Unfortunately I didn't take any photo's on the day of arrival (24th) as we had rain for most of the day, including while erecting the tent. These photo's were taken on the 25th July as the kids played on the beach at Barmouth, with a few towards the end taken inside our tent.

A totally unplanned day out to RAF Cosford Museum with my friend Dave, came up Trumps. Upon arrival I noticed a poster advertising that James May, from BBC's Top Gear, was unveiling a full size, 1:1 scale, Airfix Model of a Spitfire, for his new TV series, James May's Toy Stories shown on BBC2 - 1st episode (Airfix) screened 27th October 2009 8pm GMT, repeated on Sunday 1st November 7pm GMT BBC2, or available on BBC iPlayer.

Wolves 1-0 QPR. Wolves secure promotion to the Premier League, However they have to wait until 25/04 until they are confirmed CHAMPIONS with a 1-1 draw against Barnsley. One game to go Doncaster at MOLINEUX along with the Championship Winners presentation. I WILL be there!!!!!!!

We were due to fly out at 01:35, so shots like this would have been impossible in the dark.
Thankfully, in some respects, we were late and after a delay of over 5 1/2 hours, we finally took off from Palma Airport, Mallorca.
